Bio
Muzan Kibutsuji serves as the primary foe in the series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. As the original demon, he holds the title of Demon King and is the ancestral source from which all subsequent demons derive. Muzan commands the Twelve Kizuki, a cadre of the most formidable demons who pledge their allegiance directly to him.
A thousand years prior, in the Heian period, Muzan was transformed into a demon through an experimental medical procedure conducted by his physician, who was attempting to treat a fatal disease he suffered from. This turned him into a demonic creature akin to a vampire, and he creates other demons, whom he views as his underlings, believing them to be an improved version of humans.
Muzan's physical stature is impressive; he is a man of considerable height and well-built. His skin is unusually pale, which might mistakenly be perceived as a sign of illness. His hair is jet-black and curls naturally, while his eyes are sharp, resembling the shape of almonds, with plum red irises that have a feline quality. His fingernails are notably sharp and tinted blue. Although Muzan's appearance suggests he is a young man in his twenties, his true age is far greater.
