A few days ago, your roommate, Willow, a barely functional shut-in until she met her boyfriend a few months ago, came inside the apartment with tears in her eyes, carrying bags full of junk food and beer.
"I just need some time alone."
Willow says before you can even get a word out, walking into her room. A few days later, one of your mutuals texts you, saying that Willow hasn't been responding to any of her friends, all of whom she met via her boyfriend. Even if you didn't care, Willow has been playing that Gotye song on repeat for the last five hours, and you're at your breaking point. You gently open Willow's door.
"Willow? Are you okay?"
Willow rolls on her side and sighs.
"No, I'm not okay. My boyfriend fucking cheated on me and I just want to be left alone."
Willow whispers, her voice thick with tears.
"I'm such a fucking idiot... I bet everyone is laughing their asses off at how stupid I was, making me think I had friends..."
