The short answer
ChatFAI is a web-only AI character chat site run by Chatfai LLC. It has a free tier of 500 messages a month and three paid plans: Basic at $9 a month for 1,500 messages, Premium at $29 for 5,000, and Deluxe at $59 for unlimited messages. Paid yearly they cost $99, $290 and $590. All three list NSFW chat. Refunds are generally refused, it takes cards only (no PayPal), and promo codes cover the first charge only. If you want one adults-only companion who remembers you, with no ad tracking on the page, that is the gap Aroused fills.

Three plans, and a sale banner
ChatFAI's pricing page opens on the yearly view. We switched it to Monthly in a normal browser to read the monthly prices, which most review sites leave out. The list prices are below; the sale is covered right after.

Every paid plan lists the same extras: NSFW/Adult chat, unlimited chat storage, a knowledge store, personas, voice messages, no advertising and custom characters. The only differences are the message allowance, the memory level and how many conversations you can keep active.
The yearly "20% discount"

ChatFAI's help center says yearly billing saves 20%. Against twelve monthly payments, Basic saves $9 of $108 (8.3%) and Premium and Deluxe save 16.7% (our arithmetic on its list prices). Our yearly plans cost exactly half of twelve months.
The sale, in late September

A "Halloween Sale" banner offered code HALLOW40 on 27 September. ChatFAI's terms say promo codes "are for first charge and revert to normal pricing", yearly plans included. So $99 Basic becomes $59.40 for year one and $99 after.
What review sites quote
$4.25
Some reviews list Basic at $4.25 a month. That figure is not on ChatFAI's pricing page, in either view. It may be an old sale price. Budget for $9 a month or $99 a year.
Is ChatFAI Basic enough
1,500 messages goes faster than it sounds
The plan you need depends on how ChatFAI counts, and its help center is specific about three things that drain the allowance.
1. Regenerates count
"Since a regenerate is asking the AI to send you a new message, it counts towards the number of messages allowed per month." If you reroll replies until one lands, each reroll is billed like a message.
2. Basic memory is "limited"
ChatFAI says a character forgets scene details "after a certain amount of messages" and advises reminding it "every few lines", or buying a higher plan. Only Premium and Deluxe list unlimited memory.
3. Twenty active chats
Basic caps you at 20 active conversations. That matters on a library site where the whole point is trying many characters. Premium removes the cap.
Our read
For a light user, ChatFAI Basic is good value: 1,500 messages for $9 beats our Spark plan, which is $12.99 for 1,000. The comparison flips if you want the character to remember you. On ChatFAI that means Premium at $29 a month, while memory of you is part of every Aroused plan, and our Desire plan, with 5,000 messages and five companions, is $27.99 monthly or $167.94 for a year.
Is ChatFAI safe
A real company, two different privacy stories
ChatFAI is not a scam. Chatfai LLC publishes terms under Delaware law, a privacy policy and a help center, and answers support at [email protected]. What deserves a careful read is how its own documents describe your data and your money.
Encryption and logs
The help center says ChatFAI "encrypts all chats end-to-end and does not store logs, transcripts, or usage analytics". The privacy policy describes collecting "Usage Data" such as your IP address, the pages you visit and time spent on them, and every plan lists "unlimited chat storage". We are reporting both statements, not choosing between them.
Tracking on the page
In a normal browser, ChatFAI's homepage loaded Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and DoubleClick, plus Sentry and Cloudflare analytics. Its privacy policy says it uses Google Ads remarketing "to advertise on third party websites to you after you visited". Our pages load no analytics and no advertising tags.
Refunds and payment
"We generally do not offer refunds", says the help center; the terms allow case-by-case exceptions at ChatFAI's "sole discretion". Plans renew automatically. It accepts credit and debit cards only: "We do not accept Paypal or bank transfer payments."
Adults and NSFW
Account holders "guarantee that you are above the age of 18", and NSFW is allowed except for illegal content and characters under 18. Review sites report the adult toggle relies on that self-declaration rather than an ID check; we could not confirm the flow without an account.

Is ChatFAI free?
There is a free tier. ChatFAI's help center says it includes 500 messages a month, and every regenerated reply counts as one. There is no free trial of the paid plans.

Yes. Every paid plan lists NSFW/Adult chat, and the help center allows it except for illegal content and characters under 18. Account holders must be over 18 under its terms.
Can I get a refund from ChatFAI?
Usually not. The help center says ChatFAI generally does not offer refunds, and the terms leave any exception to its sole discretion, case by case. Cancel before the renewal date instead.
How do I cancel ChatFAI?
Log in, open Settings and follow the cancel link in the subscription section. The terms also let you cancel by emailing [email protected]. The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
Is ChatFAI safe?
It is a real company, Chatfai LLC. The caution is that its help center promises end-to-end encryption and no logs while its privacy policy describes usage data and ad remarketing. Our ChatFAI review sets both out.
Does ChatFAI have an app?
No. It runs in any phone browser, and there was no ChatFAI app on the US App Store on 27 September 2026. Treat apps using the name with care.
Is chatfai.org the same as ChatFAI?
No. The real service is chatfai.com, run by Chatfai LLC. chatfai.org is a separate site whose buttons forward you to sign-up pages for a different AI girlfriend product.
What is the best ChatFAI alternative?
