Figgs AI Alternative Now That Figgs Is Offline

We make a competing product, so weigh this accordingly. Figgs, the site for creating and sharing chatbots, no longer loads at all. If you came here to find where your chats went or what to use instead, this page shows what we could verify, what to check on your card, and where to go next.

Figgs is a trademark of its owner. We are not affiliated with it, and this page contains no affiliate links.

The short answer

Figgs (figgs.ai) was a website for creating and sharing AI chatbots. It stopped working at the turn of 2025, and on 29 October 2026 its domain points to 0.0.0.0, so nothing loads.

That means the practical questions are different from a normal comparison. Where do I go now, can I keep my characters, and am I still being billed. The best replacement depends on whether you liked browsing other people's bots or talking to one character of your own, and the sections below split those two cases.

Is Figgs AI down

Yes, and the address goes nowhere

On 29 October 2026 we looked up figgs.ai and it resolves to 0.0.0.0, an address no browser can connect to. The www version does not resolve at all. The nameservers still belong to a domain registrar, so the name is parked, not redirecting to a new home.

The Internet Archive tells the same story from the other side. The homepage, titled "Figgs" with the description "Figgs is a platform for creating and sharing chatbots", returned 403 errors on 28 and 31 December 2024, loaded once more on 2 January 2025, then turned into redirects and a 404 error by 22 January 2025. We found no archived pricing, terms or privacy page.

Because nothing on the domain is readable, there is also no published way to ask for your data. If you built characters there that you cared about, assume the copies on Figgs are gone and rebuild from anything you saved yourself.

Recreated from the DNS answer we got on 29 October 2026. The www address does not resolve.

Figgs subscription and your card

Make sure nothing is still renewing

We could not find a price from Figgs itself, so we are not going to quote one. What matters now is whether a charge from the old account is still going out, especially if you paid for a longer term in late 2024. A dead service does not always stop billing, and two minutes of checking settles it.

1

Search your statements

Look back 12 months on every card and bank account for a charge with "Figgs" in the descriptor.

2

Check app store subscriptions

On iPhone, Settings, your name, Subscriptions. On Android, Google Play, Payments and subscriptions. Cancel anything left.

3

Dispute what you could not use

A charge for a service that did not run is a reasonable dispute with your card issuer. Raise it quickly, since issuers generally expect it within about 60 days of the statement.

App store purchases are refunded by Apple or Google rather than the developer, so request those through the store.

Sites like Figgs

Pick by what you made and chatted with

Figgs let people build a chatbot and share it, so former users usually want one of three things: a large library of other people's bots, a place to keep running their own roleplay, or one steady character who stays the same. Each link below goes to a write-up where we read the prices and refund terms first-hand.

The alternatives at a glance, cheapest paid plan first

Figgs alternatives by cheapest paid plan and yearly price

Every competitor price comes from the vendor's own pricing page, documents or app code, read first-hand: Character.AI in August 2026, Chub on 30 August 2026, SpicyChat after its 8 September 2026 increase, JuicyChat on 22 September 2026, Harpy Chat on 30 September 2026 and FictionLab on 5 October 2026.

Figgs vs Aroused

A bot library or one companion who knows you

Figgs was about making and sharing bots. Aroused is about keeping one. You design a companion's look, personality and backstory, and she or he keeps the thread of your life from one conversation to the next. We cannot match a community library, and the table is plain about where that matters.

Look elsewhere if

  • → You published bots for others to chat with and want an audience.
  • → You want explicit content. We are adults only, but we do not write it.
  • → A large free allowance matters more to you than anything else.

Try us if

  • → You kept going back to one character and want one who remembers you properly.
  • → You would rather design your own companion than depend on a free site that can vanish.
  • → After losing Figgs, you want the price, the refund rule and the terms in front of you before paying.

Questions people ask first

Figgs, answered

Is Figgs AI down?

Yes. On 29 October 2026 figgs.ai resolved to 0.0.0.0, an address that cannot be reached, and www.figgs.ai did not resolve at all. The Internet Archive shows the homepage last loading on 2 January 2025 and returning a 404 error by 22 January 2025.

Is Figgs AI back?

No sign of it. The domain has not served a page since early 2025, and we found no official statement about a return. Any site or app using the Figgs name today is not the original service, so check the seller and the terms before paying.

Why did Figgs AI shut down?

We could not find a primary statement. Secondary write-ups say the developers announced the closure on Reddit, left time to save chats, and that the site went offline around 30 December 2024. The reasons given vary and none is confirmed, so we do not repeat them as fact.

Can I get my Figgs chats back?

Not through the site, since no page loads and no export tool is reachable. If you saved chats or character text during the closing weeks, keep those files. They are plain text and can be pasted into a new platform as a starting description.

What is the best Figgs AI alternative?

For a shelf of user-made bots, SpicyChat, Character.AI or Chub are closer to what Figgs was. For one companion you design who remembers you, adults only, with every price published before signup, that is us: a one-time 25 message demo, then from $6.50 a month billed yearly.

Is there a Figgs AI app?

Figgs was a website for creating and sharing chatbots, and the original service no longer runs. Apps that borrow the name are unrelated sellers. Read the seller name and the subscription terms on the store listing before you subscribe to one.

Am I still being charged by Figgs?

Check to be sure. Search your card and bank statements for the last 12 months for a Figgs descriptor, then look at your Apple and Google subscription lists. Cancel anything still active. A charge for a service that no longer works is a reasonable dispute with your card issuer.

How do I pick a platform that will not vanish like Figgs?

Check that the terms name a company and a governing law. Pay monthly for the first two or three months until you have seen the service ship updates. Keep your own plain text copy of any character you would hate to lose, since that is the one part of a companion that moves between platforms.
