The short answer

Flipped Chat is a free-to-start AI character app at flipped.chat, operated, per its terms, by a Singapore company. It sells Pro and Platinum memberships in weekly, monthly and yearly terms plus a gem currency, but publishes no price: plan prices arrive encrypted from its server and show only at checkout.

Its strength is breadth: a large community catalog, voice calls, photos and video. If what you want is one companion who remembers you, at a price you can read before you sign up, that is what we built.

Flipped AI pricing in gems

Free until the call runs past the allowance

Flipped has no rate card, but the text its app shows users is served with every page, and it spells out the meters. A voice call is free for a set number of minutes a day; "after that, the service will incur charges (50 gems per minute)". Voice messages work the same way, at 1 gem per second once your free minutes are used.

Two chat modes are metered too. Long-text mode, sold as "detailed and romantic responses", and story mode both say "each message costs {price} gems, but short messages won't be charged". The number is filled in by the server, so we cannot quote it. What we can say is that the longer, more romantic replies people upgrade for are the ones that spend gems.

Gem packs are sold in the app. Google Play lists Flipped's in-app items at $0.99 to $99.99. First-time gem buyers on the web see "Save 15% with a lower third-party service fee", and a failed photo safety review returns the gems to your wallet.

Flipped Chat Pro and Platinum

Weekly billing is the default unit

The app offers "1 Week Membership", "1 Month Membership" and "1 Year Membership", and formats prices as an amount "/week". Pro and Platinum are the two paid levels, with an "Upgrade to Platinum" step between them. The benefits named in the app are unlimited text messages, long-term and permanent memory, unlimited photos and videos a day, and an unlimited number of characters.

A weekly plan that renews automatically bills 52 times a year. Review sites quote a weekly Pro price; we could not find any figure on a page Flipped publishes, so we do not repeat one.

Credit where due: the pay-once option is rare in this category and genuinely useful if you only want one week or one month. Deleting your account also cancels auto-renewal, per the app.

Flipped Chat refunds, cancellation and content rules

A 2023 rulebook for a 2026 checkout

Flipped's terms were last updated on 15 August 2023 and were written for app-store billing. The site now takes cards and PayPal directly. Here is what each document says, side by side.

Terms of service, 15 August 2023

  • Refunds. "All fees are non-refundable once login details have been used." "Refunds cannot be claimed for any subscription period."
  • Canceling. "You can modify or cancel your paid subscription only through the App marketplace where you originally acquired the subscription."
  • What you post. Users may not submit anything "sexually explicit". Public contributions carry a license that is "irrevocable, perpetual" and covers "your image, name, and voice".
  • Who and where. Owner and operator SINGAPORE DESERT OASIS TECHNICAL PTE. LTD, Singapore. US law, US courts.

The live site and app, 2 October 2026

  • Payments. The web app's code creates subscriptions by card and by PayPal, and has its own Cancel Subscription and Manage Subscription screens.
  • Canceling. "Your subscription has been canceled, but is still available until the end of your billing period."
  • Content. The FAQ says Flipped "strictly prohibits public display of NSFW content", which is narrower than the terms. Review sites say private explicit chat opens up on paid plans; we did not test it.
  • Complaints. Acknowledged within 24 hours, resolved within 7 business days, per the complaints policy.

We are not saying either document is wrong, only that they were written at different times. If you pay on the web, cancel inside your Flipped account and keep the confirmation email. If you paid through Google Play, cancel in Play.

Flipped Chat app and lookalike sites

Check the address before you pay

"Flipped ai" draws about 40,500 US searches a month and the name is shared. The real service is flipped.chat; its privacy policy and Google Play listing both point there. On Android it is "Flipped:Chat with AI Character" from the developer "Flipped Chat", rated Mature 17+, 4.3 stars from 29,932 ratings and over a million installs.

On iPhone it is harder. The App Store id that listing sites still link returns nothing in the US store today. The only US listing called "Flipped Chat: AI Characters" comes from a different seller, appeared on 14 July 2026, holds 1.6 stars from 29 ratings, and reuses Flipped's marketing line. We could not tie that seller to Flipped. Use the website if in doubt.

Flipped is a big community app: thousands of user-made characters, voice calls, photos and video, and a free tier that is generous for casual use. Aroused is one companion you design, adults only, warm and flirtatious but never explicit, with memory as the point. Where Flipped does more, the table says so.

On the web, open your profile under Mine, then Manage Subscription, then Cancel Subscription; access continues to the end of the billing period. If you subscribed through Google Play, cancel in Play. Deleting your Flipped account also cancels auto-renewal.

Is Flipped Chat safe?

It is an established app, 18+ by its terms, with a privacy policy saying it has not sold or shared personal data in the past twelve months. Two cautions: public posts carry a perpetual license to your image, name and voice, and lookalike sites and apps use the Flipped name.
