One detail from that table is worth pulling out, because it is unusual. Kupid's top tier does not just raise your allowances, it changes which chat engine you are talking to: the paywall copy reads "Become ultimate to use the best chatting engine". On most platforms every paying customer gets the same model and pays for volume. On Kupid, conversation quality itself is a tier.

Search for Kupid AI pricing and you will find $7.99, $12.99, $13.99, $17.99, $28, $49 and a $777 lifetime deal, all presented as the real number. They are not all wrong. Three things are happening at once, and understanding them is the difference between a $12 month and a $52 month.
There are three billing cadences, not two
Kupid's paywall offers Weekly, Monthly and Yearly. Most companion apps offer two. A weekly plan advertised at $12.99 reads like a bargain next to a $29 monthly plan and costs roughly $56 a month. This is the single most common way people overpay for Kupid, and several reviewers flag it. Check the cadence toggle before you enter a card.
Promotional pricing is close to permanent
Reviewers consistently report first-purchase discounts in the 50 to 75 percent range on annual and lifetime plans. A reviewer who bought during a promotion honestly reports what they paid, which is not what you will pay at renewal. When you compare Kupid to anything else, compare the renewal price, not the intro price.
Two generations of paywall copy ship together
This is the part nobody mentions. The page Kupid serves today contains two complete and different sets of plan descriptions: an older one built around flat monthly allowances (100, 400 and unlimited images; 100, 400 and 1,200 voice generations) and a newer one built around coins and named Bronze, Silver and Gold (35, 100 and 200 custom images; 8, 22 and 45 voice minutes). Which one you see depends on which checkout Kupid shows you. Reviews written weeks apart are describing genuinely different products.
There is also a $0.50 card verification charge on the free trial, which Kupid's own copy says is refunded immediately. That is normal practice and not a hidden fee, but it does mean a "free" trial requires a card. Read that as a pricing fact rather than a scandal. It is honest of Kupid to tell you before you confirm, and a lot of platforms delete data on cancellation without warning you at all. But it changes the arithmetic. If you build a character over six months and then want to step back, your real floor is not $0, it is $3.99 a month indefinitely, or you accept losing the work.
