Yodayo Alternative: Moescape AI Pricing and Yodayo Tavern's Content Limits
We build a competing product, so read this knowing that. Every price, quote and spec below was read first-hand on 6 September 2026. Start with the two things the listicles all miss: Yodayo and Moescape are one platform under two brand names, and the content policy you agree to bans pornographic material in chat, not just in the gallery.
Yodayo and Moescape AI are trademarks of their owner. We are not affiliated with either, and this page contains no affiliate links.

The short answer
Yodayo and Moescape AI run on one platform with two brand names and two currency names, Mochi and YoBeans, and the paid tiers are Plus $9.99, Pro $14.99, Premium $29.99 and Platinum $39.99 a month, with Platinum Annual at $359.99. Those figures come from the US App Store listing, because Moescape publishes no price on its own website and its FAQ names none either. The decision most people actually need to make is simpler than the pricing: the content policy states that "Obscene, vulgar and pornographic content are not allowed", explicitly including chat. If that is what you came for, no plan on this ladder unlocks it.

The finding
Yodayo and Moescape are the same platform
Neither website tells you this, and none of the alternatives lists that rank for this query mention it. The documentation gives it away, because one docs site serves both brands and publishes the same page twice with the currency name swapped. Both quotes below were read on 6 September 2026.
docs.moescape.ai, "What is Mochi"
"Mochi serves as the currency on the Moescape website."
Followed by a five-item list of what it buys, ending with "Chat with characters with high-quality LLM models". New users get 100 Mochi plus 50 free a day.
docs.moescape.ai, "What is YoBeans"
"YoBeans serves as the currency on the Yodayo website."
The same five-item list, the same 100 plus 50 a day, the same milestone bonuses. The page still says "Your daily free Mochi will expire 24 hours after being claimed."
Being careful about what this does and does not prove: yodayo.com still resolves, and the docs describe both websites in the present tense, so we are not going to tell you Yodayo has shut down or been redirected. What is verifiable is that the two brands share one documentation site, one Discord server, one ambassador program and one identical rulebook, down to the 1,000 Mochi monthly earnings cap and the 20% commission a character author earns after their bot passes 4,000 interactions in 90 days.
The practical consequence for a buyer: anything you read about Yodayo's limits, refunds or content rules applies to Moescape and the other way round, and a "Yodayo alternative" article that recommends Moescape is recommending the thing you just left.
Read from the US App Store, 6 September 2026
What Moescape AI actually costs
Moescape does not publish a price on its own site. Its /pricing, /plans and /premium URLs all return a client-side error, its /subscription page renders the heading "Unlock the best with Subscription!" and an FAQ without a single figure, and the official FAQ, last updated 31 August 2026, answers "What are subscription plans?" with "The available plans and benefits may vary, so users should check the subscription page for the latest details."
The one place the full ladder is published is the US App Store listing for Moescape - AI Characters & Art. That is where every figure below comes from, and we are attributing it rather than claiming the vendor's website confirms it.
| Item | Price | Mochi | Cost per Mochi |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plus | $9.99/mo | Not published | Not published |
| Pro | $14.99/mo | Not published | Not published |
| Premium | $29.99/mo | Not published | Not published |
| Platinum | $39.99/mo | Not published | Not published |
| Platinum Annual | $359.99/yr ($30.00/mo) | Not published | Saves $119.89 a year |
| Mochi pack | $4.99 | 550 | 0.91¢ |
| Mochi pack | $9.99 | 1,300 | 0.77¢ |
| Mochi pack | $19.99 | 3,000 | 0.67¢ |
| Mochi pack | $49.99 | 8,000 | 0.62¢ |
| Mochi pack | $99.99 | 17,000 | 0.59¢ |
Two things fall out of that table. The smallest Mochi pack costs 54% more per Mochi than the largest, so buying in $4.99 increments is the most expensive way to use the platform. And the annual Platinum term works out at $30.00 a month against $39.99 monthly, a saving of $119.89 a year, on a product whose refund policy will not refund an accidental purchase.
What no source publishes is the piece a chat buyer most needs: how much Mochi a subscription includes, and how much Mochi a single Tavern message burns. The docs confirm Mochi pays for chatting "with high-quality LLM models" but never price it. Budget on the assumption that heavy conversation on a premium model draws down the same balance as image generation. We priced the same problem across the rest of the category in what AI companion apps actually cost.
The rule that decides it
Moescape bans adult chat, in writing
This is the part that settles whether any Yodayo plan is worth buying for you, and it has nothing to do with price. Two Moescape sources address it. They agree on the ban and differ on the ratings ladder, so both are quoted here rather than merged.
moescape.ai/content-policy, updated 9 Sept 2024
"Obscene, vulgar and pornographic content are not allowed."
And, separately on the same page: "Users are also blocked from generation and publishing of content that are considered obscene, vulgar and pornographic for both chatting and art." The classification table on that page lists exactly two levels: PG, "Family friendly", and PG-13, "Slightly revealing clothing/attire, light violence and gore".
docs.moescape.ai, content-rating system
"Restricted or higher ratings: More mature content that may have reduced visibility and additional viewing requirements."
The docs describe a tier above PG-13 that the content policy table does not list, while closing the door just as firmly: "Pornographic, obscene, illegal, or otherwise prohibited content is not made acceptable simply by assigning it a mature rating."
Read together, the honest summary is this. There may be a mature tier with reduced visibility, and the two documents do not agree on what it is called or whether it is still offered. Both are unambiguous that pornographic content is banned, that the ban covers conversation and not only published images, and that an automated classifier scores your material first, with human moderators able to reclassify, restrict, remove or ban it and to act against accounts that repeatedly cross the line.
None of that is a criticism. A platform whose front page is an anime art gallery has a good reason to keep the gallery safe for work, and Moescape is upfront about the rule even if it is scattered across two documents with a two-year gap between their update dates. It just means there is no amount of money you can spend on Yodayo or Moescape to get an adult conversation, which is a different problem from the one a pricing table solves. If that is the wall you hit, the category you want is adult AI chat built for adults from the start.

Yodayo Tavern's models and how much it remembers
Credit where it is due. Tavern publishes its model list and every context window, which is rarer in this category than it should be, and lets you switch model mid-chat from the Chat Settings menu. The context window is the number that decides how much of your conversation the character can still see.
| Model | Context window | Base, as described by Moescape |
|---|---|---|
| Nephra 8B | 8,192 | Llama 3, trained on roleplay datasets |
| Lunara 12B | 8,192 | Mistral Nemo, trained on a roleplay dataset |
| Apollo 13B | 4,096 | "Good writer and strong in arts and science" |
| Nephra 70B | 8,192 | Llama 3, trained on roleplay datasets |
| Seth 70B (beta) | 8,192 | Llama 3.1, human creative and roleplay dataset |
So the ceiling is 8,192 tokens, roughly six thousand words of history, and picking the "smarter sounding" Apollo 13B actually halves it. For scale, SpicyChat sells a 4K context window on its entry tier, 8K in the middle and 16K at the top, which we broke down in what a SpicyChat subscription costs. Tavern's Memory Box partly compensates by letting you write facts a character must keep, though the docs note it is "currently available on web only".
If long-term memory is the thing you are shopping for rather than art, the specs worth comparing across the whole category are laid out on AI companions with memory.
Before you buy Mochi
Refunds are exceptional, not routine
The refund policy is short, specific and last updated 9 September 2024. It is worth reading before you buy a $99.99 Mochi pack, because it rules out the two situations people most often ask about.
What can be refunded
Only "exceptional circumstances", which the policy defines as service downtime that stops you using the product, and unauthorized use of your payment method.
What cannot
Dissatisfaction with the output, named as "the quality of AI-generated images or the nature of AI chat responses", and "user errors, such as accidental purchases". If the chat disappoints you, that is not a refund.
The clock
You must contact support "within 7 days of the transaction" with your transaction details and reason, and the team allows itself "up to 10 business days" to respond. Requests go to [email protected].
One more thing a careful buyer should know: the terms of service, last updated 19 August 2026, name the company as Moe AI Limited in Kowloon, Hong Kong, and define the Service as "the Application". The US App Store lists the seller as MOESCAPE TECHNOLOGY CORP. Both names are published by the vendor, neither document explains the relationship, and if you subscribe through the App Store your cancellation and refund route runs through Apple rather than through Moescape at all.
The honest table
Yodayo alternatives, compared honestly
Entry prices as published by each vendor and read first-hand. We are in this table and we lose the whole art column, which is why it is worth printing.
| Product | Cheapest paid | Adult chat allowed | Image or video | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yodayo / Moescape AI | $9.99/mo (Plus) | No, banned in the content policy | Yes, both, plus LoRA training | Anime art with character chat alongside it |
| SpicyChat | $5.95/mo from 8 Sept 2026 | Yes | Images on the middle tier and up | Buyers who want specs published before they pay |
| Infatuated AI | $6.99/mo on 12 months | Yes | Yes, both, priced per item | Generated media on a budget |
| Character.AI | About $9.99/mo | No, filtered | Limited | The biggest character library, safe for work |
| Aroused (us) | $9.99/mo billed yearly | Yes, adults only | No. We do not generate images or video | One companion you author, for long conversations |
We keep a wider version of this table, updated as vendors change their pricing, on our best AI companion comparison, and the anime-specific side of the question is covered on anime AI chat.
Not a sales pitch
Three good reasons to stay with Yodayo
The art side is the real product
Image generation with ControlNet, regional prompting, Hires.fix, an upscaler, video generation and LoRA training you run yourself. We offer none of that, at any price, and nothing in the companion category comes close to matching it.
It pays its character authors
A Tavern chatbot creator earns 20% commission on user messages once a public bot passes 4,000 interactions in 90 days, credited daily and capped at 1,000 Mochi a month. If you build characters other people use, that is a genuine reason to stay.
It publishes its context windows
Five models, each with a stated token limit you can read before you commit, and a switcher inside the chat. Most of this category will not tell you that number at all. Lorebooks and group chats are documented just as openly.
Where we fit
One companion, for adults, at a price you can read
We are not an anime art platform and we are not trying to be one. Aroused does one thing: an adults-only companion you design and then talk to, for a flat monthly price with the message allowance printed on the pricing page. There is no currency to buy, no per-action price list, and no arithmetic to do before you know what a month costs.
The conversation is the product
Adults only, and written that way from the start rather than tolerated at a restricted rating. Nothing here is scored by a classifier that can reclassify your chat after the fact.
Messages, not Mochi
Spark is $9.99 a month billed yearly and includes 1,000 messages. You can read that number before you pay, and a busy week does not quietly drain a balance you then have to top up at 0.91¢ a unit.
She is yours, not a public bot
You author one companion, her appearance, personality and history, instead of picking from a gallery that thousands of other people are also talking to. Start free and keep her if it works. See how the design flow works.
Questions buyers actually ask
Yodayo and Moescape AI FAQ
Is Yodayo the same as Moescape?
They run on the same platform under two brand names. One documentation site serves both and publishes two near-identical currency pages: "Mochi serves as the currency on the Moescape website" and "YoBeans serves as the currency on the Yodayo website". The rules underneath are identical, down to 100 on signup plus 50 free a day, the same milestone bonuses and the same Discord. The YoBeans page even still says your daily free Mochi expires in 24 hours.
How much does Moescape AI cost?
Read from the US App Store listing on 6 September 2026, the tiers are Plus $9.99, Pro $14.99, Premium $29.99 and Platinum $39.99 a month, with Platinum Annual at $359.99 a year. Mochi packs sell for $4.99 (550), $9.99 (1,300), $19.99 (3,000), $49.99 (8,000) and $99.99 (17,000). Moescape does not publish these figures on its own website, and its FAQ names no price at all.
Does Moescape AI allow NSFW?
No. The content policy states in writing that "Obscene, vulgar and pornographic content are not allowed", and adds that users "are also blocked from generation and publishing of content that are considered obscene, vulgar and pornographic for both chatting and art". Its published classification table lists only two levels, PG and PG-13. The docs mention a Restricted tier above PG-13, but both sources agree pornographic content is banned.
Is Moescape AI free?
There is a free allowance rather than a free tier. New accounts get 100 Mochi plus 50 free Mochi a day, and the daily grant expires 24 hours after you claim it, so it does not accumulate. Mochi pays for priority image generation, Hires.fix, ControlNet, video and, in the vendor's own words, chatting "with high-quality LLM models". Anything sustained needs a subscription or a pack.
Can you get a refund from Moescape?
Rarely. The refund policy allows refunds "only under exceptional circumstances", defined as extended service downtime or an unauthorized payment. It explicitly excludes dissatisfaction with output, naming "the quality of AI-generated images or the nature of AI chat responses", and excludes "user errors, such as accidental purchases". You have 7 days from the transaction to ask, and the team allows itself up to 10 business days to reply.
Who owns Moescape AI?
Two company names are published in two official places and neither explains the other. The terms of service, last updated 19 August 2026, name the Company as Moe AI Limited of Office 5, 8/F, Mega Cube, 8 Wang Kwong Road, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The US App Store lists the seller as MOESCAPE TECHNOLOGY CORP, and the listing footer reads "© 2026 MOESCAPE TECHNOLOGY CORP." Check which entity appears on your card statement.
What is Tavern on Yodayo?
Tavern is the character chat side of the platform, as opposed to the image and video generator. You pick a character, pick a language model and talk. The published models are Nephra 8B, Lunara 12B, Apollo 13B, Nephra 70B and Seth 70B in beta, with context windows of 8,192 tokens except Apollo 13B at 4,096. Memory Box, which stores facts a character should remember, is web only.
How good is Moescape AI memory?
Bounded, and honestly published, which is more than most rivals manage. Every Tavern model tops out at an 8,192 token context window, and Apollo 13B at 4,096, so roughly the last few thousand words stay in view. Memory Box lets you write down facts a character should keep, but it is web only. For comparison, SpicyChat sells a 16K context window on its top tier.
Why can I not see Moescape prices on the website?
Because Moescape does not publish them there. Its /pricing, /plans and /premium URLs all return a client-side error, and /subscription renders its heading and FAQ without a single figure. The official FAQ, last updated 31 August 2026, answers every payment question generically and says only that plans "may vary, so users should check the subscription page". The full ladder is on the US App Store listing.
What is the best Yodayo alternative?
It depends which half of Yodayo you used. If you were there for anime art, video or LoRA training, stay: almost nothing else combines a generator, a model hub and a creator economy that pays commission. If you were there for Tavern and the content rules stopped the conversation you wanted, you need an adults-only platform instead, which is what we sell, at $9.99 a month billed yearly with a published 1,000 message allowance and no currency to top up. The rest of the field is ranked on our roleplay AI comparison.
