SpicyChat pricing in 2026: what a SpicyChat subscription and each premium tier costs

From 8 September 2026 a SpicyChat subscription costs $5.95 a month for Get A Taste, $19.95 for True Supporter and $29.95 for I'm All In, or $60.00, $199.95 and $299.95 a year. Before that date the same tiers cost $5.00, $14.95 and $24.95 monthly. There is still a free tier. Anyone already subscribed keeps the price they pay now, for as long as they never change plans and never let the subscription lapse.
Every figure here was read on 5 September 2026 from SpicyChat's own documentation rather than from a review site, because the review sites in this category are routinely a pricing cycle behind. We build a competing product, so weigh the recommendations accordingly. The numbers are just the numbers.

How much does SpicyChat cost?
SpicyChat sells three paid tiers on a monthly or annual term, plus a free account. The prices below are the complete published ladder. The middle tier moves the most: True Supporter goes up by a third on both terms, which is a bigger jump than either the entry or the top tier.

Euro pricing matches the dollar figures exactly. Sterling is priced separately: from 8 September it is £4.95 a month or £50.00 a year for Get A Taste, £16.95 or £169.95 for True Supporter, and £25.95 or £259.95 for I'm All In. Those three currencies, USD, EUR and GBP, are the only ones the change applies to.
On the annual terms the discount is worth roughly two months on the entry tier and about two months on the top tier. True Supporter annual is the odd one out: at $199.95 against $19.95 monthly you save about a month and a half, so the annual case there is weaker than it looks.
What does each SpicyChat premium tier include?
This is the part the price tables leave out, and it is what actually decides which tier you want. SpicyChat is unusual in this category because it publishes real numbers for memory and reply length instead of adjectives. The table below is assembled from its own documentation on tokens and context, premium features, conversation images and text-to-speech.

Two practical readings of that table. First, the jump from Get A Taste to True Supporter buys you longer replies and double the memory, which is the single biggest change in how the conversation feels. Second, the jump from True Supporter to I'm All In buys memory and voice, not longer replies: both tiers cap a reply at 300 tokens, roughly 200 to 230 words. If you are paying the top price expecting the model to write more per turn, it will not.
Context memory is the number worth paying attention to. A 4K context window is about 3,000 words of conversation history, so on the entry tier a long session starts losing its own beginning fairly quickly. At 16K you get roughly 12,000 words of history, which is what makes a companion seem to remember. Did SpicyChat raise its prices?
Yes, with effect from 8 September 2026, and it announced the change in its own documentation rather than by email alone. Every tier costs more on both billing terms. SpicyChat is explicit that nothing is being removed: in its words, "This is purely a price change, every tier keeps exactly what it includes today." So the comparison is clean, you pay more for the same thing.
For context on where that lands in the category, $5.95 is still one of the cheapest ways into a paid AI companion product, and the top tier at $29.95 is priced against products that meter you by the token rather than selling flat access. Will my price go up if I already have a SpicyChat subscription?
No. SpicyChat says an active recurring subscription "will keep renewing at the price you pay today", monthly or annual, for as long as you keep it active and do not change plans. Discounted pricing is covered by the same promise. The company declines to say "forever" on the grounds that nobody can predict what running AI models costs years from now, but it says any change would come with notice rather than overnight.
Two things end the lock, and both are easy to trigger by accident. The first is changing your plan at all. Upgrading, downgrading, switching monthly to annual and switching annual to monthly all move you onto current pricing, and the old rate does not come back. Downgrading does not get you the old price on the cheaper tier either, so experimenting with tiers after 8 September is a one-way door.
The second is letting the subscription lapse. If you cancel but the period has not ended, you can reactivate and keep your price. Once it fully expires, SpicyChat says the price cannot be restored. That makes a failed card an expensive event rather than an administrative one, which is a good argument for getting alerted the moment a recurring charge changes or fails rather than finding out at the next renewal. Anyone paying by a method that does not auto-renew has no price to lock at all.
Is a SpicyChat subscription worth it?
It depends which tier and what you want from it. Get A Taste at $5.95 is essentially a way to remove the free tier's friction, and at 4K context it is not the tier to buy if long conversations are the point. True Supporter at $19.95 is the one most people actually want, because 8K context and 300 token replies is where the conversation stops feeling clipped. I'm All In at $29.95 is for people who want voice and the longest memory.
The honest case against it is the same case as for every character-catalog product. SpicyChat is built around browsing an enormous library of community characters, so if what you want is one companion you author yourself who develops over months, you are paying for a shape of product that is not aimed at you. How does SpicyChat pricing compare to other AI companion apps?
Cheapest paid entry, as published by each vendor and read first-hand. The important column is the middle one, because a low headline price on a metered product is not the same kind of number as a low headline price on a flat one.

SpicyChat and we are the two flat-rate products on that list, and SpicyChat is cheaper at entry. Infatuated is the clearest illustration of why the metering column matters: its plans page prices a sent message at one token while its terms of service price it at two, so the same $9.99 buys either 100 messages a month or 50 and the vendor does not say which. Does SpicyChat have a free plan?
Yes. SpicyChat keeps a free tier alongside the three paid ones, and the pricing change does not remove it. What the free account gives you is the shortest replies and the smallest context window, with no conversation images and no text-to-speech. It is enough to judge whether you like the writing, which is the only thing a free tier really needs to do before you decide.
How do I subscribe or change my plan?
SpicyChat's own instructions are short. Free users click Get Premium in the header, or Subscribe in the right-hand menu. Existing subscribers go to their profile and click Manage Subscription. The thing to think about before touching that screen after 8 September is the price lock: if you are on an old rate, any change on that page moves you to current pricing permanently.
What we would actually do
If you already subscribe and the tier you are on is fine, do nothing at all before 8 September, because doing nothing is what preserves your rate. If you have been meaning to upgrade, doing it before the 8th locks the upgrade at the old price. If you are new and undecided, the entry tier is cheap enough to test the writing on, and you can move up later at whatever the price is then.
