Secrets AI review: is Secrets AI safe, what it costs, and how Moments actually work

Secrets AI does not publish a price on any public page. Not on its homepage, not on /pricing, /plans or /premium, and not in the 289 KB of front-end code those pages ship. Every review currently ranking for this term quotes a monthly figure anyway. We went looking for where those numbers come from, could not find them at the vendor, and think that is the single most useful thing to tell you before you hand over an email address.

We build a competing product, so weigh the recommendations accordingly. Everything below is attributed to where it was read, on 8 September 2026, and where we could not verify something we say so rather than filling the gap.

How much does Secrets AI cost?

There is no published answer. Secrets AI shows its prices only after you clear the 18+ gate and reach a checkout screen inside the app, so the cost is not knowable from the outside. Its public URLs all return the same JavaScript shell with about sixty characters of visible text, and the code behind them contains no price string at all.

That is a measurable claim rather than an impression. The pages load their content as a React server-component payload, which decodes to a 289 KB blob holding the site's entire English text. Searching it for a currency amount returns nothing: no figure ending in .99, no occurrence of "USD", no price field of any kind. What the blob does contain is the wiring around a price, which tells you a lot about the shape of the bill even though it never names the number.

What the vendor's own code does say

The plan descriptions are written out in full. These are verbatim strings from the application's own front-end, not marketing copy from a public page:

Two details in that table are worth pausing on. The tier list defines four labels, Lite, Plus, Premium and Ultimate, while only two of them have plan copy written for them. And the billing selector offers four cycles, monthly, three months, six months and yearly, which is more terms than almost anything else in this category sells. A four by four grid of possible prices, none of them published, is a lot of surface for a review site to summarize in one figure.

Why does every Secrets AI review quote a different price?

Because the price you see depends on when you look. The code contains named discount campaigns, "LABOR DAY SALE", "SUMMER FINALE SALE" and "SOCCER FEVER", alongside a savings line that renders as "You save $X (Y% off)" and a percentage-off badge. A reviewer who signed up during one of those campaigns saw a genuinely different number from one who signed up a week later, and neither of them was wrong at the time.

The practical consequence: treat any specific monthly figure you read about Secrets AI, including the $19.99 and $39.99 that several review sites agree on, as a snapshot from an account somebody opened on an unknown date under an unknown promotion. We could not corroborate those numbers from the vendor and we are not going to reprint them as fact. If you want to know what Secrets AI will charge your card, the only reliable method is to reach its checkout yourself, today, and read it there.

What are Moments on Secrets AI?

Moments are the platform's internal currency, and they run on two separate balances. The interface labels them "Monthly Moments", which reset on a date the app calls "Next Reset", and "Top-Up Moments", which you buy separately and which do not reset. A paid plan grants the monthly allowance, 8,000 on Premium and 15,000 on Ultimate, and anything beyond it comes out of top-ups.

What Moments buy is media rather than conversation. Premium's own description pairs "Unlimited messaging" with its 8,000 Moments in the same sentence, which reads as messaging being outside the currency and image plus video generation being inside it. That is the right way round for most buyers, and it is a genuine point in Secrets AI's favor compared with platforms that meter every reply. It also means the 8,000 versus 15,000 gap between the two paid tiers is a media budget, not a chat budget, so if you are here to talk rather than to generate pictures the cheaper tier is probably the one.

Two smaller mechanics worth knowing. Failed generations are automatically credited back: the app has a message reading "{cost} Moments refunded to your account" for images that fail. Tips are not: you can tip a creator from your Top-Up balance, and the interface states plainly that "Tips are a gift and can't be refunded."

Is Secrets AI safe?

On the mechanics you can check from outside, it looks conventional for the category. The app enforces an age gate that states "You must be at least 18 years old to use Secrets", its checkout is labeled as using 256-bit SSL, and its cancellation copy reads "Cancel anytime. No questions asked." Nothing in the front-end suggests a locked-in term or a cancellation maze, which is more than can be said for several rivals.

The honest caveat is about what could not be checked. Because the legal pages are client-rendered like everything else, the terms, privacy policy and refund policy are not readable without running the application, so we cannot quote a data-retention rule, a refund window or a governing-law clause the way we can for vendors that serve those pages as text. If those matter to you, and for an adult app they should, open them yourself before you subscribe rather than trusting any review, this one included. One more thing to check before you type a card number: secrets.ai is the product, and secretsai.net is a different website that also resolves. We did not audit the second one and make no claim about it, but the domain you sign in on is worth a second look, and this keeps happening across the category.

What "billed discreetly as" actually means for you

The checkout carries a label reading "Billed discreetly as", followed by the descriptor that will appear on your statement. That is a genuinely thoughtful feature for an adult subscription and most people will want it. It has one practical side effect worth planning for: the line item on your card will not say Secrets AI, so in three months, when you are scanning a statement for things to cancel, you will be looking at a company name you do not recognize. If that is a problem you have had before, it is worth getting an alert the moment a recurring charge hits your account so the renewal is a decision rather than a discovery. Write the descriptor down when you subscribe, whatever you use.

Is Secrets AI free?

There is a free tier and it is real, but it is a media allowance rather than a chat allowance. New accounts get 200 Moments, advertised in the signup flow as "200 Free Moments", plus a free custom character and roleplay chat. No daily or monthly message cap appears anywhere in the code, so how much conversation the free tier actually buys is not something we can tell you, and it is not something the vendor states either.

What the free tier is genuinely good for is answering the only question that matters before you pay: whether the writing holds up. Spend the 200 Moments deliberately, run a long conversation, and see whether the companion remembers what you told it forty messages ago. Who is Secrets AI actually for?

Someone who wants pictures and video of their companion, not just conversation. That is the product's center of gravity and it does it well: image and video generation, voice, group chats on the top tier, personas, and a large character catalog. If that is your list, Secrets AI belongs on your shortlist and none of the above should put you off. The pricing opacity is annoying rather than disqualifying, and the free 200 Moments let you test the thing that costs money before you commit.

It is a worse fit if what you want is one companion, a long relationship and a bill you can predict. A four by four price grid with rotating sales, two Moment balances and no public number is a lot of machinery to reason about when the thing you actually wanted was somebody to talk to. Open Secrets AI, clear the age gate, and read the checkout before anything else. Note the tier, the billing cycle, whether a sale is running and the discreet descriptor, and screenshot it. That takes four minutes and gives you information no review on this subject can give you, because the number is generated for your account on the day you look at it. Then spend the free 200 Moments before you decide.
