Caveduck review: is Caveduck safe, and is Caveduck PLUS worth paying for?

Caveduck is safe in the sense that matters first: it is run by a real company, Warp Space Inc., with published terms, a written refund policy and a live iPhone app. It is not private. Its terms take a perpetual license to what you create there, its privacy policy allows AI training on your data, and its homepage loads Google Ads and Meta tracking. Caveduck PLUS costs $19.99 every 30 days, not the $11.99 most reviews quote, and it is worth it only if you live on Caveduck's basic models.

We build a competing product, so weigh this accordingly. Every figure below came from Caveduck's own store, help center, terms and App Store listing, read on 26 September 2026. Where we quote another review site, we say so.

How much does Caveduck cost?

Caveduck is free to use with Feathers, a currency you earn by checking in daily and playing mini games. Everything else is paid in two ways: the Caveduck PLUS subscription and Wings, the paid currency. Caveduck has no pricing page, so here is where each number comes from. The PLUS price is in the product list Caveduck's own store loads from its servers, which is public. The Wing prices are in its help center and on the US App Store.

Buy Wings on the website if you can: the same pack costs about 20% more in the app (our arithmetic). Wings expire one year after purchase. There is no yearly PLUS plan, so a full year of PLUS is twelve payments of $19.99, or $239.88 (again our arithmetic).

Why do reviews say Caveduck PLUS is $11.99?

Several review sites list Caveduck PLUS at $11.99 a month with a $5.99 first payment. On 26 September 2026 the product list Caveduck's store actually loads said $19.99 for 30 days, or 25,000 Korean won, and its first-time price fields were empty. The review figure may be an older price or a past promotion. We cannot tell which, but we can tell you what the checkout reads today. Budget for $19.99.

What does Caveduck PLUS include?

The store card lists four benefits: "Basic Chat Model Unlimited", "Basic Voice Unlimited", "Image Generation Unlimited" and "5 Stamps every month" (stamps let a character write you a letter). The help center adds the fine print. The unlimited models are five: Breeze, DeepSeek V4 Flash, DeepSeek V3.2, Momo and Donald 2. Image generation is unlimited only from the Create menu; Snapshot, which draws the scene you are in, "is not included" and costs 150 Wings. Voices set up with Super Voice are excluded too, at 80 Wings a playback.

That fine print matters because the models you have heard about are not on the free list. Caveduck's creator incentive table shows the chat picker includes Claude Opus and Sonnet, several Gemini models and GPT-5.4. All of those are paid in Wings, whether you subscribe or not. Caveduck does not publish what one message on those models costs. The store code has a Premium Model Pass meant to cover them, but it had no products on sale when we checked.

Is Caveduck safe for your privacy?

Read this part before you build anything personal. Caveduck's terms give Warp Space a "nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid up, transferable, sublicensable, perpetual, irrevocable license" to the characters you create and "all Generations elicited by you", to use "for any purpose". Perpetual and irrevocable means deleting your account does not end it. The privacy policy separately lists using your information "to train our artificial intelligence/machine learning models", and says Caveduck may share data with "advertising and analytics partners".

The homepage is consistent with that. It loads Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, two Google Ads tags, a Meta pixel, PostHog and Amplitude. Some review sites describe Caveduck's data as "encrypted" to stop unwanted access. The only encryption Caveduck's own privacy policy mentions is for passwords, which are "securely processed and stored using industry-standard encryption or hashing methods". Nothing in it describes encrypting your chats end to end, and a company that can train models on your data can by definition read it.

Does Caveduck allow NSFW, and who can use it?

Yes, for verified adults, behind two gates. NSFW characters are marked "Available to adult users only" and hidden by a Safety Filter that is on by default. Turning it off requires identity verification, and "re-verification is required once a year". We could not see which verification method US users get without opening an account. Caveduck's 2257 notice, revised 5 August 2025, says any visual depiction "that may be sexual" is AI-generated.

The other documents pull the other way. The terms only bar users under 13, or under 16 in the EU, and list "obscene or pornographic" content among what users may not post. The App Store rates the app 12+. So Caveduck is a general platform with an adult section, not an adult service. If you want a companion built only for adults, that is a real difference.

Can you get a refund from Caveduck?

Only within 7 days of payment, and only if you have not used what you bought. The rule is the same for Wings and for PLUS. Caveduck's store adds that refunds "are not possible for subjective reasons, such as the quality of the answer", and unused Wings that expire after a year are not refunded either. To stop PLUS, go to Store, then the Membership tab, and cancel; the benefits run to the end of the current 30 days. Disputes go to binding individual arbitration with a class action waiver, and the terms say how to opt out.

Can creators earn money on Caveduck?

Yes, and it is one of Caveduck's better features. Creators earn incentives when other signed-in users chat with their characters, from 1 per exchange on Breeze to 20 on Claude Opus, plus 250 when someone pays 500 Wings to unlock a locked image. At 200,000 incentives you can withdraw 100 USDC, so a creator needs a lot of paid-model traffic to see real money. Creators who get there usually promote characters off-site, and posting the same launch to Reddit, X and Discord is quicker with a tool that turns one post into a version for every channel.

Caveduck vs Aroused: which should you pay for?

If you want variety, Caveduck is the bigger product. It lists more than 160,000 creator characters, stories, lorebooks, voices and pictures, and PLUS gives unlimited basic-model chat for $19.99, more volume than our $12.99 Spark plan with its 1,000 messages a month.

So, is Caveduck worth it?

For a heavy user of the basic models, PLUS at $19.99 is fair: unlimited messages, basic voice and images. For anyone who came for the premium models, Super Voice characters or scene pictures, PLUS does not cover them and the real budget is in Wings.
