Kajiwoto (kajiwoto.ai) is a free platform for building and training your own AI characters, run by Kajiwoto Inc. Kajiwoto Plus costs $7.99 a month or $87.89 a year on the web, and Pro $29.99 a month or $299.99 a year. Its apps charge more, and neither app has been updated since 31 October 2024.
It is a good tool for people who like writing datasets and tinkering with characters. It is also a mixed-age platform, open from 13, with a small AI memory window even on paid plans. If what you want is one adult companion who keeps the thread of your life, that is what we built.

Kajiwoto pricing on the web and in the apps
"About 15%" more in the app is 31% on Plus
Kajiwoto has no public pricing page you can read without the app. Its prices sit in a small table inside the web app's code, which is what the plan picker shows. The picker opens on the yearly view, so the first number you see for Plus is $7.32 a month, which is $87.89 charged once a year.
Kajiwoto's own FAQ says it charges "slightly more on iOS and Android (about 15%)" to cover the store's cut. That is accurate for Pro. For Plus, the plan most people buy, the US App Store asks $10.49 against $7.99 on the web, which by our arithmetic is 31% more, and the yearly Plus item is 33% more.
The practical advice is simple: if you are going to pay Kajiwoto, pay on kajiwoto.ai in a browser. An app subscription also only covers the one account you bought it on in the web app.

On the web, yearly Plus saves $7.99 against twelve monthly payments, exactly one month (8%). Yearly Pro saves $59.89 (17%). Coins buy datasets and characters that other creators sell; the web sells 10, 20 and 100 coin packs at $9.99, $19.98 and $99.90, and character "skins" at $2.99 to $19.99. Google Play lists Kajiwoto's in-app items at $9.99 to $349.99.
Kajiwoto free vs Plus vs Pro
Unlimited chat, a short memory
Kajiwoto publishes its tier limits inside the app, and the free tier is generous on volume: chat is unlimited for everyone, slowed only by a rate limit. What paying changes is speed, message length, model choice and how much the AI can hold in mind.
That last one is the catch for anyone who wants a companion rather than a toy. The AI's context, the recent conversation it can actually see, is 2K tokens on free, 4K on Plus and 10K on Pro. In plain terms that is roughly a few pages of text at the top tier. Beyond that, Kajiwoto relies on summarized memories and a small number of permanent saves: 10, 30 or 50 per room.

Is Kajiwoto still active?
The site runs. The apps stopped in 2024.
kajiwoto.ai loads and you can still sign up and pay. The mobile side has gone quiet: the iPhone app's last version, 1.17.23, shipped on 31 October 2024, and the Android app was last updated the same day. The web app's main code file has been the same since the Internet Archive first saved it in June 2025.
Kajiwoto describes itself in its own FAQ as "a work-in-progress, beta product", and the fine-tuned models row in its tier table is still marked as not yet available on paid plans. None of this means it is closing. It does mean you should not pay a year up front expecting the roadmap to arrive.

Kajiwoto content rules, refunds and privacy
Who it is for and what you agree to
Adults comparing companion apps usually want to know two things: what the AI is allowed to say, and what happens to the conversations. Here is what Kajiwoto's own pages say, quoted where it counts.
Age
The privacy policy says the service is "not intended for anyone under the age of 13". Google Play rates the app Teen; the App Store rates it 17+. Adults share the platform with teenagers.
Romance, not adult content
Kajiwoto calls itself "pro-romance" but takes down anything "created to be pornographic" and does "not allow nudity" in user images. On OpenAI models it follows OpenAI's moderation policy "completely".
Refunds and cancelling
Refunds are "handled by the platform you purchased it from": Apple or Google for app purchases. On the web you cancel under your profile photo, edit profile, Kajiwoto+. The terms contain no refund clause at all.
Your chat history
Kajiwoto keeps your information "up to 120 days after you delete your account", and says it is still "working on" letting you delete your entire chat room history.
Third parties
The policy says "We do not share our information with any 3rd parties". The site also loads Google reCAPTCHA and an analytics tag, and the FAQ says some chat models are OpenAI's. The policy does not describe those services.
The terms
An app license template with two drafting notes still in it, including "at least 30 (changes this) days' notice". No price, refund or governing-law clause. The App Store seller is Kajiwoto Inc.
In fairness, Kajiwoto names a real seller, publishes every tier limit, keeps chat unlimited for free users and prices Plus below most of this category on the web. None of the points above is a claim of wrongdoing. They are what the documents say, and they matter if you are an adult deciding where to spend $90 a year.
Kajiwoto vs Aroused

Kajiwoto is a workshop: you write datasets, train characters, put several AIs in a room and share them with other creators. Aroused is one companion you design, on an adults-only service, warm and flirtatious but never explicit, where the point is that she or he remembers last Tuesday.
